To further showcase China's rich cultural heritage and promote cross-cultural exchanges, the International Department of Guangdong Radio and Television has launched the English multimedia program “The Amazing Heritages” and “Fusion and Echoes: A Journey Through Traditions.” The program’s press conference was held on October 31 in Guangzhou.

广东省人民政府新闻办公室副主任邓鸿，广东省人民政府外事办公室二级巡视员邱辉林，广东省广播电视局二级巡视员彭武军，以及来自15个国家驻广州总领事馆代表共60余名中外嘉宾出席活动。广东广播电视台副台长单勇辉出席活动并致辞，伊朗驻广州总领事达瑞西，意大利驻广州总领事德派罗作为各国驻广州总领事代表为活动致辞。
Key attendees included Mr. Deng Hong, Deputy Director General of the Information Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province; Mr. Qiu Huilin, Level II Inspector of the Foreign Affairs Office of the People’s Government of Guangdong Province; and Mr. Peng Wujun, Level II Inspector of the Radio and Television Administration of Guangdong Province. The event gathered over 60 distinguished guests, including representatives from the Consulates General of 15 countries in Guangzhou. Mr. Shan Yonghui, Vice President of Guangdong Radio and Television, delivered a keynote speech, while Mr. Hosseinali Darvishi Motli, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Guangzhou, and Mr. Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou, gave remarks on behalf of the consular corps.
活动回顾了自2023年10月开播以来，各国驻广州总领事参与《了不起的非遗》共15期节目的拍摄、感受中外非遗文化交相辉映的精彩瞬间，并发布全新英文融媒国际文化节目《民俗百千万》，在现场对各国驻广州总领事发起广东县域深度游的邀请。
The event celebrated consular participation in “The Amazing Heritages,” which has produced 15 episodes since its October 2023 premiere. The program highlights Chinese and international intangible cultural heritage, and the new series “Fusion and Echoes: A Journey Through Traditions” will invite Consuls General on a cultural journey through Guangdong’s rural areas.
活动现场还设有大湾区非遗展示区，各国驻广州总领事馆代表与岭南古琴、木版年画、剪纸、点茶等大湾区非遗传承人及传统技艺进行有趣互动，亲身感受中华优秀传统文化魅力。活动同时助力“百千万工程”发展成果的国际传播，现场设有肇庆高要肉桂咖啡、清远连州东坡腊肉、江门开平黄帝柑、梅州平远客家炒绿和平远花生等多家广东百县千镇万村优秀“粤字号”农产品的展示摊位，引起多国驻广州总领事馆代表的关注。
A Greater Bay Area intangible cultural heritage display at the event featured interactions between consular representatives and inheritors of traditional crafts such as the Lingnan guqin, New Year woodblock printing, paper cutting, and Diancha, a Song Dynasty tea art. This engaging experience allowed participants to gain firsthand insight into the charm of China’s rich traditional culture. The event also supported the international promotion of the High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns, and Villages, showcasing Guangdong’s finest agricultural products from across its counties, towns, and villages. Exhibition booths featured premium “Guangdong brand” items, such as cinnamon coffee from Gaoyao in Zhaoqing, Dongpo cured meat from Lianzhou in Qingyuan, Huangdi citrus from Kaiping in Jiangmen, and Hakka fried green tea and peanuts from Pingyuan in Meizhou, which drew significant interest from consular representatives of various countries in Guangzhou.
十五集英文融媒国际文化节目《了不起的非遗》是一档以史为鉴，活化传承，开启新时代中外文化交流互鉴的驻华使节纪实访谈节目，以非遗技艺为纽带，邀请各国驻华使节一同领略湾区非遗的无穷魅力，并引入国外非遗和优秀文化传统，设计中外文化碰撞的环节，进一步加强多元文明交流互鉴。
The 15-episode English multimedia international cultural program “The Amazing Heritages” is a documentary interview series featuring foreign diplomats in China. It seeks to draw lessons from history, revitalize cultural heritage, and foster a new era of cultural exchange between China and the world. By focusing on intangible cultural heritage, the program invites diplomats to experience the rich heritage of the Greater Bay Area, incorporating international intangible cultural heritage and diverse cultural traditions. This cross-cultural exchange is designed to encourage meaningful dialogue and deepen mutual appreciation across civilizations.
《了不起的非遗》共邀请了印度尼西亚、荷兰、土耳其、 泰国、巴西、伊朗、丹麦、希腊、比利时、英国、意大利、新西兰、美国、巴拿马驻广州总领事，及斐济驻上海总领事参与节目拍摄。节目在广东大湾区卫视频道（海外版）、香港nowJelli 紫金国际台、澳门资讯频道、澳门有线电视播出，并得到美国、丹麦、新西兰、比利时驻华大使馆，以及参与节目录制的各国驻华总领事馆在官方账号的踊跃转发。
The series has featured Consuls General from Indonesia, the Netherlands, Türkiye, Thailand, Brazil, Iran, Denmark, Greece, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Italy, New Zealand, the United States, and Panama in Guangzhou, as well as Fiji’s Consul General in Shanghai. “The Amazing Heritages” airs on Greater Bay Area Satellite TV (International), NowJelli, TDM Information, and Macau Cable TV. It has also received active support and promotion through the official social media accounts of the Embassies of the United States, Denmark, New Zealand, and Belgium in China, as well as the Consulates General of participating countries.
接力《了不起的非遗》，十五集英文融媒体国际文化交流节目《民俗百千万》将邀请各国驻华使节走进广东百县千镇万村，游览体验淳朴悠久的民俗风情，并引入对应的国外优秀民俗，进一步加强多元文明交流互鉴，让更多国外受众感受广东百县千镇万村新面貌，领略中国城乡融合新发展。《民俗百千万》于今年10月推出第一季共七集，并将于2025年春节档推出第二季共八集。
Building on “The Amazing Heritages,” the 15-episode English multimedia international cultural exchange program “Fusion and Echoes: A Journey Through Traditions” will invite diplomats from various countries to explore the rich folk customs across Guangdong’s counties, towns, and villages. The series will also introduce corresponding excellent folk traditions from abroad, further enhancing cross-cultural exchange and mutual appreciation of diverse civilizations. This initiative aims to allow a wider international audience to experience the vibrant new landscape of Guangdong’s counties, towns, and villages and witness the integration of urban and rural development in China. The first season of “Fusion and Echoes: A Journey Through Traditions,” consisting of seven episodes, has premiered in October this year, with a second season of eight episodes scheduled for release during the Chinese New Year 2025.
